The core research activities of the Division of Power Engineering are housed in its Research Laboratories. These research laboratories are well equipped for inter-disciplinary projects in electrical power and energy systems. These Research Laboratories are:

                · Electric Power Research Laboratory (EPRL)

                · Power Electronics Research Laboratory (PERL)

                · Water and Energy Research Laboratory (WERL)

The Centre for Smart Energy Systems (CSES) is a virtual entity dedicated to the promotion of multi-disciplinary translational research, educational activities, professional activities, and out-reach in the applications of intelligent energy systems. The Centre initiates contacts, networking and collaboration with other research units within NTU, and with external funding agencies, industrial partners and other universities. It also organizes seminars, conferences and short courses.
