The Power and Clean Energy Specialization
For final year students in the B.Eng (EEE) program, the Division offers a package of courses which qualify the candidates as having undergone our popular Power and Clean Energy Specialization. This specialization is aimed at enhancing the market value of EEE graduates who wish to embark on a career in the electric power and clean/renewable energy sectors. It consists of two design electives and four technical electives. Candidates have to be in the Electrical and Systems Engineering Final Year Option of the B.Eng (EEE) program to take these specialization courses. In addition, there are two pre-requisite courses to be taken at Year Two and Year Three respectively.

    EE2005 – AC Circuits and Machines

     

    Year Three Pre-requisite:

        EE3015 – Power Systems and Conversion

        EE4504 – Design of Clean Energy Systems

        EE4530 – Power System Analysis and Control

        EE4532 – Power Electronics and Drives

        EE4533 – Power Apparatus and System Protection
